  1. In “Devices”, add Messenger along with Messenger Number/ ID. Please note that this ID must exactly match the email address that the person uses in MS Teams.

  1. Click on “Save” to deploy your changes.
Under Alarm Configuration> Alarms> Feedback & Escalation, you can find many options for all types of feedback as the feedback options shown to the person will vary depending on these settings.

If several people are notified via Microsoft Teams as part of one alarm, each person will receive the notification in an own 1:1 chat. They won’t be combined into a group chat.
  1. You are now ready to Trigger an alarm from the Alarm Cockpit.
Enable the messenger checkbox in Channels via Trigger>Edit>Person Assignment, select the person to be notified in the channel screen displayed during the Alarm Launch. You can also enable this in Groups section.

Regarding languages / translations - The MS Teams app uses the language based on the following rules:
  • The alarm is sent out using the alarm language.
  • The system communicates with the person in the language of the Teams client.
  • The welcome message and the commands are not translated and always in English.

  1. You can check the successful completion of your alarm trigger as always in the Alarm monitor

Configuration of FACT24 ENS+ MS Teams App from a person’s perspective

Configure the FACT24 ENS+ Teams App as an additional channel to receive, and give feedback to an alarm by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Teams Apps section and download the FACT24 ENS+ app.

  1. Once downloaded, it opens directly into MS Teams Chat as below.

  1. Type “Subscribe” in the chat. FACT24 ENS+ will identify you based on your email address used in Microsoft Teams and the same email address being configured as messenger device for you as a person.

This is what potential alarm messages can look like, depending on the confirmation configuration used for the alarm: Simple notification / Option to confirm or reject / Survey confirmation.

  1. Once you gave feedback, the card changes to display your feedback.
  2. In order to no longer receive alarm notifications via Microsoft Teams, type “Unsubscribe”. Note that this cannot be overruled by any system administrator. So please make sure you still receive ana relevant information in case of emergency or crisis via other channels.
